The poor man Es una obra de José Ingenieros.
It is a work of Joseph Engineers. La obra trata sobre la naturaleza del hombre, la cual el autor divide principalmente en dos categorías: El hombre mediocre y el idealista.
The plot is about the nature of man, which the author divided mainly into two categories: The poor man and the idealist. Hace una exposición de sus dos tipos humanos, y no solo se limita a eso, sino que relaciona a cada uno de estos hombres con la historia, la sociedad, y las ideas, entre tantas otras cosas.
It makes a statement of its two human types, and not just limited to that, but that relates to each of these men with history, society, and ideas, among many other things.
Vale como referencia, señalar la similitud que han tenido sus ideas con las del español José Ortega y Gasset, que, aproximadamente veinte años después, sugiere una categorización semejante: El hombre-masa y El hombre-noble en "La rebelión de las masas".

El Hombre mediocre es una obra muy interesante, ya que fuera de darte conocimientos te conciéncia y te hace mirar el mundo desde un punto de vista critico.

Un hombre mediocre no acepta ideas distintas a las que ya ha recibido por tradición (aquí se ve en parte la idea positivista de la época, el hombre como receptor y continuador de la herencia biológica), sin darse cuenta que justamente las creencias son relativas a quien las cree, pudiendo existir hombres con ideas totalmente contrarias al mismo tiempo.
