Juan Pablo Francia's impressive form with Bordeaux has sparked calls for an international call-up.
The Argentinian youngster is being lined up for a chance at Under-21 level with his homeland, as the 19-year-old attacking midfielder has made a real impact with Les Girondins.

"eople talk about me in my country since I am playing in Ligue 1," he told L'Equipe.

Team-mate Rio Mavuba is another promising player with a bright future.

The 20-year-old midfielder is due to get French nationality and, subsequently a call-up to Les Bleus' Under-21 squad, as he is currently a political refugee from Angola.

Mavuba has adapted well to life in Le Championnat since breaking into the first team.
