a unque pronto él también será una estrella robotizada y aparecerá en televisión manejado por un joystick, esteban cambiasso aún juega al play station como si fuera un chico común. y lo que hacía en los cumpleaños de sus amigos, en los que desaparecía para mantener el invicto, ahora lo repite con rivales notables. aunque él no creía que un monstruo del fútbol se peleara como él para ganar... "lo que más me sorprendió de estar en el real madrid es que ahora juego al play station con roberto carlos, ja... yo pensaba que acá, a diferencia de nuestras concentraciones en la argentina, nadie andaba con el jueguito. ¡pero juegan! y lo más gracioso es que el brasileño a veces se maneja a él mismo, ja".

—¿y quién gana?

—no, siempre jugamos contra la máquina. pero seguro que le ganaría yo. soy bueno para esto.

—¿con quién te concentrás?

—solo. porque acá, cuando jugamos de local venimos en el día. y de visitante, sólo 24 horas antes.

—¿es más cómodo o se pierde afinidad con los compañeros?

—no sé si es más cómodo. aparte, si querés hablar con algún compañero o mirar un partido, te vas a la habitación y listo. lo bueno es que no molestás al otro. pero la clave es que se concentra menos tiempo. en river tomábamos dos horas de mate los viernes, dos los sábados. te juntás o morís...


—¿ya te adaptaste al cambio?

—estoy muy adaptado. por suerte, vivo cerca de la zona donde estaba en mi primera etapa acá. a cinco minutos del lugar de entrenamiento y a diez del estadio. y si quiero ir al centro a recorrer, lo hago y listo. de una punta de madrid a la otra, por la avenida principal, se hace en veinte minutos. prioricé estar en una zona tranquila, conocida.

—¿cómo es caminar por la calle siendo cambiasso, el del real?

—casi ni anduve por la calle. porque jugamos seguido, es terrible. anduve a puro viaje, no tuve tiempo para pasear. pero igualmente los futbolistas son reconocidos.

—¿y cómo es jugar al lado de tantos monstruos del mundo?

—y... (busca la palabra) es raro. hace tres meses ni me lo esperaba. pero hoy en día me voy acostumbrando. no los miro como a ronaldo o a zidane, sino como compañeros. aunque no me olvido de que hace un tiempito estaban en el mundial. por momentos me digo solo "¿qué hago yo acá?"



—encima viene ronaldo y después de hacer su primer gol se te cuelga para festejarlo.

—me rompió la cintura, ja. vino conmigo porque participé de la jugada. desde afuera parece irreal, pero es uno más. no agarro la pelota y digo "uh, buenísimo, me la dio hierro", "mirá, me la pasó zidane". si no, no puedo jugar con naturalidad. recién cuando leo un diario o miro las fotos me doy cuenta de quiénes tengo al lado. en el día a día no hacen sentir eso: no es gente que tire sus títulos para sentirse más. son sencillos.
—fue llamativo como todos fueron a abrazar a ronaldo. ¿hay buena onda entre las estrellas?

—sí. es raro que un jugador llegue y enseguida se le suban diez compañeros para festejar un gol. y más si es el tercero del equipo. sólo faltó casillas, el arquero. una muestra del clima que hay en el madrid es que en todos los goles no se abrazan menos de siete u ocho jugadores. puede parecer un detalle, pero no lo es. eso me ayudó para meterme en el grupo.

—¿ronaldo cómo te llama?

—ronaldo me dice cuchu. después algunos muchachos, como zidane, me llaman esteban.

—desde afuera se disfruta al verlos jugar. ¿desde adentro también sienten ese placer?

—si el de afuera disfruta, el de adentro disfruta el doble... igual que cuando se sufre en un partido. a diferencia de lo que pasa en la argentina, que los hinchas explotan con la culminación de la jugada, con un gol, acá la gente ovaciona si salimos del fondo con una pared. se reconoce el gesto técnico.

—antes de ir contaste que no esperabas arrancar de titular. ¿te sorprendió conseguirlo?

—es raro, la verdad que no lo esperaba. sé que es complicado, pero me rompo todo para no perder el lugar que pude conseguir.

—roberto carlos dijo que le recordabas a redondo, tu ídolo.

—esa es una de las cosas más lindas para un jugador: el reconocimiento de los compañeros. ellos te conocen, saben cómo trabajás, ven el día a día. igual, más allá de que se establezca cierta comparación, lo que hizo fernando fue magnífico. no sé si podré conseguir lo mismo... voy a luchar para lograr mi historia. veremos...

—¿jugar con tantos fenómenos es más fácil porque la devuelven redonda o más difícil porque hay que hacer algo lindo?

—no sé si es fácil o difícil, pero es relindo. se disfruta mucho. y se nota que ellos también disfrutan. cuando zidane baja la pelota como lo hace... aunque sí, uno tiene la obligación de no desentonar, ja.

—¿guardaste camisetas?

—cambio con los argentinos. hasta ahora lo hice sólo con hermes desio. también me quedé con la de guardiola. y de las mías, ya les di a mis hermanos las que usé en la supercopa, el primer título oficial que gané acá. cuando uno está afuera se vuelve nacionalista.

—¿seguís el fútbol argentino?

—todo. me matan los horarios, porque los partidos de los viernes y de los sábados los pasan a las dos de la mañana. pero los domingos, como es a la doce de la noche, los miro sin enterarme del resultado y hago como si fuera en vivo. y estoy todo el tiempo con internet. recién leí en la web de olé declaraciones de milito. cuando habla le sale humo de los rulos, ja.

—¿por quién hinchaste cuando jugaron river-independiente?

—terrible ese partido. sufría en todos los ataques, en los dos arcos. tengo amigos en los dos equipos. hablo seguido con gaby (milito), montenegro, lequi, demichelis, cavenaghi... a veces también chateo. yo hincho para que peleen los dos y que después pase lo que tenga que pasar... me quedaron buenos recuerdos de los dos.

—¿qué significó, en su momento, que ramón dijera que en su equipo jugabas hasta al arco?

—yo estoy agradecido porque él me pidió. no se da casi nunca, y menos en river, que alguien pida a un jugador con tanta insistencia, hablando así en los medios. en ese sentido tuve suerte. cuando fui a independiente, césar (menotti) también me quería y hasta gestionó con el real para que me dejara ir. ese respaldo fue bárbaro.

—dijiste que ser campeón con river te dio el empujón para llegar al real madrid. ¿jugar ahí te llevará a la selección?

—ojalá. las primeras citaciones no las esperé, aunque tenía la ilusión. después sí las empecé a mirar con deseo. ahora se habló de que podía estar en la lista que salió el martes... no hay otra forma de llegar que con ritmo en el club. yo espero tener otra chance porque es lindo ponerse esa camiseta. ahí hay otros jugadores que se manejan solos en el play station, ja.

“很好，我的家离训练基地只有5分钟的路。”

“走在马德里街头感觉怎么样？”

“说实话，我还没有好好逛过街。比赛太多了，西班牙球迷很热情。”

“比赛时周围都是大牌球员的感觉肯定很棒。”

“很少有年轻球员能得到这样的机会，三个月前我还只能在电视机前看他们表演。现在我已经融于其中。比赛时我可不不管谁是齐达内、谁是罗纳尔多，我只知道他们都是我的队友。他们都是很好接触的人，不是想象中那么高不可攀。”

“罗纳尔多进球的时候我们注意到几乎所有人都和他拥抱，球员间的关系看上去不错。”

“这里只要你踢进一个球，不管是第一个，还是第四个。都会至少有7、8个球员跑来和你庆祝。这是俱乐部的团队精神。”

“罗纳尔多怎么叫你？”

“他叫我cuchu，齐达内他们叫我埃斯特万。”

“我们还记得你刚到马德里的时候说希望能有五场完整的比赛让你证明自己的实力，可现在你已经是俱乐部的绝对主力了。”

“还不能这么说。每场比赛我都竭尽全力，只有这样我才能保住主力位置。”

“卡洛斯说你让他想起了当年的雷东多。”

“哈哈，他是在开玩笑。费尔南多是皇马的传奇人物，我不知道我是不是能达到那样的高度。我会努力，以后再看吧…”

“你保留比赛球衣吗？”

“很少保留，超级杯比赛的球衣我送给了我弟弟。”

“国内联赛你经常看？”

“比赛时间和西班牙联赛有冲突。有空我会看一些录相，更多的时候我还是通过互联网了解比赛消息。”

“独立和河床比赛时你支持谁？”

“两个队都有我的好朋友，米利托、蒙特内格罗、卢克、卡维纳吉。他们都是我永远支持的球队。”

“拉蒙迪亚斯那时候说你是队里的艺术家。”

“我要谢谢他，他对我要求很严。只要你加入了河床，你一生都会为河床加油，对阿根廷球员来说，能穿上河床球衣是一份骄傲。我也要感谢梅诺蒂，他在独立的时候特别关照我。在他皇马当顾问的时候，他帮我签订了和皇马的协议。”

　　前文曾经说道，对于新赛季的皇马所追求的“攻防平衡”战术体系，坎比亚索是承上启下的重要环节。他在球队内的作用与齐达内或者费戈相比，完全可以用“用过之而无不及”来形容。而更加引人入胜的是，他是费尔南多·雷东多的同胞，两人不仅球风相同，而且都是一副迷人模样——要知道，那个现在效力于米兰的阿根廷人是马德里永远的牵挂，其实坎比亚索与雷东多早有宿缘：１９９６年，在皇马少年队打比赛的坎比亚索曾在瑞士集训营中与雷东多一起度过了两周时间。现在坎比亚索说，那段日子让自己受用一生。

　　把他定义为“带刀护卫”，完全是从感觉上来的——他剔掉了一头金发的面孔凌厉英武，完全是一副少年得志的武生形象，在皇马优雅华贵气质的映衬下，更是显得英俊有加。

１１岁还是篮球迷

·流浪了几年后回到老家，心里有什么感觉？
＊回到皇马就象回家，这种温暖是在流浪中不曾感觉到的。

·在豪华无比的皇马阵容中，２２岁的你能占据一席之地，这本身就说明了很多事情。
＊我还年轻，有很多东西要学习，感谢教练给我机会。在感觉自己幸运的同时，我更加感到身上的压力。与齐达内，卡洛斯，罗纳尔多这样的明星同场比赛会让我学到很多东西，这是个很好的机会，我会珍惜的。

·这些机会都来自于你在河床队的出色表现。
＊河床状态很好，所以我也容易融入其中。队友们对我也十分热情，那里的氛围给我一种十分熟悉的感觉，所以我心态特别好。

·听说河床的迪亚斯教练为了得到你曾与俱乐部官员大吵一架。这对球员来说是很荣幸的事情，因为能够得到教练如此的看重。
＊我觉得非常光荣，难以言表。

·你在独立队有种孤军奋战的感觉。
＊我在那里受到了很好的待遇，我从心里感激独立俱乐部。但我更加希望去更高水平的俱乐部打比赛。

·在小时候，除了足球，你还喜欢什么运动？
＊我非常喜欢篮球，从４岁到１１岁一直痴迷在篮球中，并且一直在地方的篮球俱乐部学习。因为父亲在当地的篮球俱乐部打球，所以我也受到他的熏陶，从小离不开篮球。

·现在还喜欢篮球吗？
＊当然了，NBA比赛的转播一场不落，一有空闲就和儿时的朋友一起玩篮球。对我来说乔丹和马拉多纳都是我崇拜的偶像。

·那是什么原因让你爱上了足球？
＊６岁的时候我在当地的克希·帕尔克俱乐部打篮球赛，帕尔克的拉蒙·马多尼（现博卡少年队教练）看见我打篮球的表现后就问我，“你不想踢足球吗？”那时我对足球丝毫不感兴趣，马上就回绝了他。但马多尼却不死心，他去劝诱我父亲，说我年纪小，身体素质好，不妨试试足球。如果没有马多尼的热情劝导就没有今天的我，但我直到１１岁还把时间分给篮球足球各一半。

进入国家队是我的梦想

·开始踢足球时是什么位置？
＊最初是前锋，直到优秀前锋费蒂里科加盟后，我才开始打后腰的位置。开始非常不习惯，因为即要策划进攻又要支持防守。现在我却非常喜欢这个可以充分表达欲望和个性的位置。

·在河床你就一直担当着攻击手的职责吧，我们常常可以看到你前移到前腰的位置上。
＊我当然不会讨厌攻击的任务，况且河床的防守很严密，我可以安心前插参与进攻。拉蒙教练对我说：“一有机会你就可以射门”，所以我可以如愿的自由活动，并且在莫考瑟杯和联赛里进球。

·加盟河床时，是否遭到博卡球迷的骚扰？
＊不，没有发生这种事情。我自己也感到十分惊讶，因为走到大街上还有博卡的球迷友好的请求和我握手。可能在他们心中，我不是河床的坎比亚索，依然是阿根廷国家青年队的坎比亚索吧。

·在１９９５年虽然代表１７岁以下国青队出战，可以只有１４岁。

·在青年队对时代虽然能够征战世界级比赛，但对于加入国家队一定还是很憧憬吧？
＊进入国家队是我的梦想。在２０００年１２月一战（首次代表国家队出战）中，我表现一般，在世界杯预选赛上也只有一次入选，却没有上场机会。我想机会是自己创造和把握的。我会通过自己的奋斗，充实自己，总有一天我会梦想成真的。

--¿Cómo vivís tus días previos al derby con el Barcelona?
--Con mucho entusiasmo y muy ilusionado. Desde que se conoció el fixture que
espero este partido con muchas ansias.

--Será tu primer derby. ¿Qué sentís?
--Que si me toca jugar, participaré de uno de los partidos más importantes
del mundo y de uno de los clásicos más relevantes. Tengo muchas ganas de que
el partido comience ya y que el Real tenga una gran actuación.

--¿Cuánto tiempo esperaste por este partido?
--Muchísimo. Desde el día que el Real me pretendió, cuando apenas yo tenía
15 años, que sueño con disputar este derby. En varios partidos estuve en la
tribuna y es emocionante. Para el jugador debe ser un recuerdo imborrable.
--¿Qué significa tener que jugar en Barcelona?
--Una gran responsabilidad. El Camp Nou es un estadio impresionante, donde
han jugado grandísimos jugadores y será un honor, reitero, si es que me toca
estar, poder defender los colores del Madrid.

--Al Real le cuesta mucho ganar fuera de casa. ¿Es preocupante tener que ir
a Cataluña?
--No. Este plantel tiene jugadores impresionantes que saben bien lo que es
ponerse la camiseta del Real. Sé que fuera de casa obtuvimos pocos triunfos,
pero estamos confiados en que podremos sacar un buen resultado.

--¿Cómo te imaginás el encuentro?
--Con el Barcelona intentando hacer pesar la localía y su estilo de juego. Y
con el Madrid buscando tener la posesión de la pelota. Ojalá que nosotros
podamos imponer nuestro juego y que consigamos una victoria.

--¿Cómo viste a la Selección Argentina?
--Bien, muy bien. Es el comienzo de una nueva era y es importante que el
equipo haya arrancado con un resultado positivo ante Japón. Además, por
momentos tuvo pasajes de buen fútbol y eso es importante.

--¿Quién pensás que sale campeón en el torneo Apertura de la Argentina?
--Independiente, no tengo dudas. Más allá de haber perdido con Banfield,
estoy seguro que el Rojo se recuperará y le ganará a Boca. Deseo que el
equipo de mi amigo Gabriel Milito consiga dar la vuelta olímpica y que todos
los hinchas de Independiente puedan festejar, ya que se lo merecen. Por
supuesto que el domingo estaré observando el partido y haciendo fuerza por
Independiente, que es un club porque tengo mucho afecto y del que me llevé
muy buenos recuerdos.

He has been out of the Real team in recent weeks, but is ready to hit top form in January after shaking off a bout of tendinitis in his knee.
