Milito: "Working for the team"
Tuesday, 14 September 2010 23:50:03
ENSCHEDE - Commenting on the 2-2 draw with Twente, Diego Milito told Sky Sport Italia: "I am half satisfied. Everything is going a bit wrong in this moment but I have to continue to work with tranquillity and serenity.
"Tonight we drew against a team that we knew would be difficult and in the end it's a good result for us to restart from. The own goal? I had never scored one before, unfortunately I touched the ball slightly and it went in.
"On a personal level I'm lacking brilliance. Coming back late after the World Cup certainly hasn't helped me. It's not easy, but I think that we will regain condition match after match. You don't get anywhere without work. We have to work as a team to win something, like we did last year.
"The change of coach? We are looking for solutions to improve. We're aren't winning away from home, but we are convinced it will come in Palermo. We deserved the three points in Bologna, and we could have won in the second half here too.
"I hope the goal comes soon, so we won't have to talk about it anymore."
LONDON - Van der Vaart, Crouch and Pavlyuchenko scored as Tottenham Hotspur beat injury-hit Inter 3-1 at White Hart Lane to join the European champions on top of Group A.
Samuel Eto'o netted ten minutes from time for his seventh goal in this season's Champions League.
Played in by Modric, van der Vaart opened the scoring with a crisp shot on 18 minutes. Inter could have brought the teams on level terms at the break, only for Cudicini to produce a wonder save from the Dutchman's curling free kick.
Spurs doubled their lead on 61 minutes when Bale stormed down the left and swung in a cross for Crouch to slot in from close range.
Eto'o reduced the arrears with a clinical finish from Sneijder's assist on 80 minutes, but Pavlyuchenko made extra sure of the points a minute from time, tapping in Bale's cross at the far post.
