Boca quash Palermo move
by James Pearson
Boca Juniors president Mauricio Macri has ruled out a summer move for Argentine striker Martin Palermo due to his massive wages.
Macri would love to bring their former son back to the club, before he moved to Villarreal and now Betis, however they cannot offer an enticing deal.
"alermo is a player that we love and we all would like to have again at Boca but the club can't go out of the budget," said Macri.
"Finances aside, we know that the player wants to come back and the coach Carlos Bianchi wants to have him in the team."
"alermo knows that he has the t-shirt and the boots ready for him here for when he wants to come back, he is the idol of all the supporters.
"Boca is his home, but there are financial problems and we can't do anything against that."
