Manchester City could lose star striker Carlos Tevez in the summer with both Barcelona and Inter interested in signing the Argentine, according to The Sun.
The European heavyweights have reportedly already made their intentions known to the City hierarchy and are planning a big money move for the striker at the end of the season.
During his time at Eastlands Tevez has made no secret of his homesickness and even handed in a transfer request, which City rejected, in December of last year. The striker then subsequently relented and pledged his future to the club yet reports about his future continue to circulate.
Tevez still have three years left to run on his current deal with the report claiming City may try to increase his weekly wage, with a lucrative image rights deal, in an attempt to keep their talisman at the club.
Yet the club are reportedly worried that even that may not be enough to keep Tevez in Manchester with advisor Kia Joorabchian likely to play a key role in helping to decide the player's future.
The striker would certainly be a huge loss to the Sky Blues; he has already scored 20 goals in all competitions this season with 18 of those coming in the Premier League. |
