Tevez: Why I want to quit
Carlos Tevez has confirmed he wants to quit Manchester City. Tevez says his relationship with "certain executives and individuals" at the club "has broken down beyond repair".
Majestic Messi Lifts Barca
Barcelona went back on top of the table, responding to Real Madrid's earlier win over Zaragoza, with their own 5-0 victory against Real Sociedad. David Villa and Iniesta scored in the first-half while superstar Leo Messi grabbed a beautiful brace at either end of the second-half and Bojan rounded off the night...
Víctor Valdés - 6.0
Could have as well sit in the stands. Real Sociedad had two shots on target, both did not even hit the target. Enough said.
Maxwell - 7.5
Very stable down the left as he shut down Xabi Prieto with ease. Looked very good going forward and seems to have developed good understanding with Villa.
Éric Abidal - 6.0
Had virtually nothing to do tonight and this is not an understatement. Merely a spectator.
Carles Puyol - 6.5
Had two intervene just a couple of times tonight and did decently on both occasions. Had virtually nothing to do after the break.
Daniel Alves - 8.0
Impeccable in attack tonight. Showed tremendous pace, hunger and exceptional dribbling. One of his best performances in a Barcelona shirt. Assisted Messi's first after three one-twos between the two.
Andrés Iniesta Luján - 8.0
Totally deserves his rather easy goal as he was a constant thorn in Real Sociedad's defence tonight. Showed quicksilver feet and wonderful passing.
Xavi - 7.5
Everything you read about him sounds like a cliche nowadays. His exceptional passing was on show tonight (one particularly poor pass come to mind in the first half, though) and dictated Barca's game superbly.
Javier Mascherano - 6.5
Seems to lack technique and accurate enough passing to fit seamlessly into the side. Still, worked hard in midfield and showed some crunching tackles. Surprisingly, he was the first one to leave the pitch tonight in the 52nd minute.
Pedro - 8.0
Two marvelous assist in a strong display by the young attacker. Has become much less selfish in recent games and this is certainly good news for every Spain and Barcelona fan.
David Villa - 7.5
Took his first goal well and went close on a couple more occasions. Showed an array of flicks and dribbles and seems to have finally accumulated much needed confidence.
Lionel Messi - Top of the Match - 8.5
Simply unplayable for the umpteenth time this year. Superbly taken first goal just after the break and a sublime solo effort for the second. Showed impeccable dribbling and interplay with his team mates, but in all honesty he did not meet much resistance from Real Sociedad's defence.

Seydou Keita - 6.0
Came on for Xavi and fitted seamlessly into the play. A decent cameo from the Mali international.
Bojan Krkic - 7.0
Well, well. Came on and assisted a goal and scored one of his own moments later. Performances like this will see him earn more playing minutes for the Blaugrana.
Sergio Busquets Burgos - 6.0
Came on for Mascherano and did very well in his thirty-eight-minute cameo.
Barcelona Star Lionel Messi: Massimo Moratti Is A Great President But I Don't Care About InterMessi has ruled out a move to Inter, despite praising Moratti...
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has once again put rumours of a potential move to Inter on the back burner, but did thank Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti for his praise.
The diminutive Argentina international was in Milan at an even organised by Dolce & Gabbana and spoke about the newspaper links to the current European champions.
"At the moment I'm not thinking about Inter," the 23-year-old stated to Sky Sport 24.
"Moratti? I like his compliments - he is a great president and a very good person."
Messi has once again been in sensational form this season, bagging 23 goals already between appearances in La Liga and the Champions League and sitting in first place in the Castrol Rankings.
