Everyone on the pitch
The entire squad prepared for the Clásico
Everything is now ready for the highly anticipated clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid to take place tomorrow. The Whites are going through a fantastic moment, especially now that Guti's injury seems to be healing quickly. They will travel to Barcelona this evening. Real Madrid are living a great moment right now; they recently qualified to play in the Last 16 of the Champions League -Roma will be their next foe to beat- and they were named best team of 2007 last week for winning the 2006/07 League and for being the leaders in the present campaign during the Christmas break. Guti joins his teammates The squad had a day off after Wednesday's King's Cup match. They returned to training on Friday and Guti unfortunately injured himself with a sprain on the external lateral ligament of his right ankle. Nevertheless, it seems the team's second captain is recovering very well from this untimely injury, as he joined his teammates during this morning's session. Schuster's 25 players played games and divided into five teams to run back and forth with the ball, bouncing it with their hands as they ran in one direction, and dribbling it with their feet as they returned. They did this several times, with and without obstacles. The second part of the session consisted on tactical exercises, such as set pieces, to put the finishing touches on the weaponry they will use against the eternal rival on Sunday (19:00 CET).
