Jorge Jesus considers Everton to be the strongest opponent Benfica will face in the group stages and even admitted the other qualifying spot will be between his team and AEK.
"Everton are a strong side with quality players especially in the offensive sector, a typical character of a direct English game with many crosses in the 18-yard box."
"They have two victories already and yet to receive BATE Borisov at home. They other qualifying spot will disputed between Benfica and AEK, and for us that will be the key encounter."
"Our squad is near the maximum strength and I am counting on a good performance on our part with an open game because Everton are also here to win. Thus, we expect a game with many goals."
Saviola
The Argentinian striker stressed that the loss in Athens is part of the past and hoping Benfica will return to winning ways in the Europa League on Thursday against Everton.
"It's an important game which could leave us well composed in the table if we win."
"The AEK game is part of the past now, we need to think of the present and the game against Everton, who are a great team."
