Simeone: "Real Sociedad will be a tough match at a difficult ground"

"I like a team that knows it is going to face a great rival and remain competitive"


Diego Pablo Simeone appeared before the media after training on Wednesday. The Atletico coach spoke of the match against Real Sociedad's, the injuries to Juanfran and Arda Turan, who played for Spain against France at the Vicente Calderon.

The Argentine coach said of Arda Turan's injury that "we will have a look when he returns to work. They are international players and unfortunately it is our players that have come back injured but it happens. It's part of football."

On the Spain game where Juanfran played, Simeone said he found it "barbaric. He saved a goal five minutes before the final incident, he headed away when three players were arriving behind him. I remember that. The other can happen, it’s football. He made a mistake, lost a ball and that's football. Why not talk about the ball he saved?"

Regarding Sunday's game against the Real Sociedad, he was asked if this team has some similarities to last season, when Atletico Madrid won 0-4 at Anoeta in the first away win of the season. The technician said that "it is a team that plays well, especially at home. They are very vertical, with good set pieces, especially with Griezmann, Xabi Prieto, Vela, Agirretxe, big players. Illarramendi balances things very well in midfield with his defensive play. We will have to see if any of their injured players are back. We see it as a hard and difficult game in an difficult stadium against a side with great ability and personality against an opponent who is improving a lot at home."

On how the team is going to face this stage of the season, in which there will be no stoppages for international matches, he said that "we must see Arda when he comes and I think they are all good. We have not had any strange situation and that allows us to prepare for a lot of games, but we’re always on the same line, going game by game and trying to play every game in the best way."

Regarding Falcao, who has continued scoring goals for his country, Simeone had only words of praise. "Everything that happens to Radamel is because he’s looking for it. Everything that happens he wants and works for. Things are a consequence of what he is giving to football. Hopefully he can stay on this line and that it’s a credit to his character and the will. He is one of the best number 9s in the world, "he said.

About the decisive goal that his son Giovanni scored with Argentina U-20 he said, "It was a joy as a parent. I went to Argentina two days to see them. Atletico Madrid prepared behind closed doors for Sunday's match against Real Sociedad at Anoeta. Diego Pablo Simeone spent half an hour watching videos before making their way out onto the pitch 1 at the Sports City, where they stayed for an hour and a half doing physical work first, and finished going over the details of the game.

The big new was the presence of the internationals who worked separately on Thursday, Emre, Cristian Rodriguez and Kader, along with Diego Costa who has recovered from the injury that had kept him sidelined in recent weeks. The only player missing was Arda Turan, who returned injured from his stay with the Turkish national side.

Diego Godin was asked to appear before the media on Friday after training at the Sports City. The central defender said the aim of Atletico de Madrid is to win at Anoeta to continue at the top of the table.

The first away win last season came in Anoeta with Simeone on the bench. It's a special date for Atletico Madrid. Godin said, "The experience was positive in Anoeta, but we know it will be a tough game, they are a tough opponent at home. We will play our game and try to win."

He recognises that the league break from international week "interfere with the work. We can not be together for 10 days and that interferes mainly to plan the next game. We are training in the same way and we will compete. Then the injuries are a thing of football and you can get them training with your club or country. It's bad luck losing Arda for this game but hopefully he gets better soon."

As for Falcao, "any team can be interested in him because he’s one of the best strikers, the most inform in the world, he is among the top three. It is normal for any team to be interested in him. We are fortunate to have him.”

The team will soon start the Copa del Rey meaning they’re fighting in three competitions. Godin says that "the King's Cup is a beautiful competition, where it becomes more beautiful you go throughthe rounds. Let's face it with a lot of hope, like in all competitions and we will try to win as we go into the Europa League and in every league match. Let's start this competition against Jaen with the desire to get as far as possible. The dream of everyone is to reach the final and win, but it's a long hard road. We have positive and negative experiences in this Cup and we know we have to give the maximum in every game and not underestimate anyone. You have to respect every opponent and go to win."

Atletico are in the middle of one of the best runs of the season after a spectacular start and they come up against Real at home, where they are unbeaten. The Uruguayan said that "we will try to keep our run going. Real is a good team, who are strong at home and knowing that we will try to control them and play our game. We come in to the game well and know what we need to do and how we want to play. We will try to win the game knowing they’re a tough team at home."

Being joint leaders with Barcelona is a source of satisfaction for the Uruguayan. He indicates that "we are excited about the streak and because we're winning, but we are not satisfied. We want to win every game. We can not look to the end of the season, we’re only looking at Sunday, the match against Real Sociedad. We must try to win and winning games and scoring points is what will keep us at the top of the table."

On a personal level, the Uruguayan said that "I feel good and it’s the general feeling of the whole team. The whole defensive work of the team makes is good as everyone...

Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan has returned injured from his involvement with the Turkish national side. On Thursday morning he underwent medical tests accompanied by Dr. Jose Maria Villalon. The medical report says that he has suffered  "a sprained right ankle joint, affecting the posterior talar-fibular ligament. The player is awaiting developments."

Courtois: "We think a game at a time, we want to win and but there is no more pressure than before"

The Belgian goalkeeper reiterates that "we have to look at ourselves, what is important is how we play and we have to be focused on it"

Thibaut Courtois appeared at a press conference before the match against Real Sociedad. For the Belgian keeper, he feels the rivals of Atletico respect them more after their recent successes: "Atletico is always a great team and many teams have a lot of respect for us, but now they have more respect and are more afraid of us, because we won a lot of games. Opponents  change their game against us, they will wait behind and we have to go higher to win games."

The goalkeeper says the Atletico team is not worried about how Barcelona do at the Riazor. "We have to look at ourselves. The important thing for us is our match tomorrow and we have to be focused on it."

Courtois is aware of the difficulty of the match against Real Sociedad: "We have seen a bit how they play. It is going to be a tough game, because whenever you are visitor it’s complicated. We know it will be a tough game, but we have the quality to win. Vela has great quality. The whole team is good. Before in training I have seen some of Germán Burgos team and now at the hotel and tomorrow we will see more things from them. Hopefully wwe’ll be leaving with a clean sheet."

On if he has found his level after a hesitant start, the Belgian said: "With the national side I had two good games, with two wins and a clean sheet in both matches. Since the game against Valladolid, where I played OK, but I made a mistake then had good games. I want to be important for the team and I feel in good shape."

俺的人品还可以的，看了两场西蒙尼队伍都是1-0客场小胜，虽然有悬念，但是胜利名至实归。

不过就是花糕还是在马竞待着就可以了，去豪门例如皇马估计是没戏的，这里最适合他一次次地浪费机会，但终有机会进球的。

目测本轮过后又有一大堆懂球帝要急着为花糕姐找下家了，其实看得出他自己在床单呆得满开心的应该不会有想法，谁知道俱乐部怎么想呢

北京时间10月22日凌晨03:30，西甲第8轮继续展开争夺，马德里竞技客场1-0小胜皇家社会。马竞当家前锋法尔考在比赛最后时刻打入一球，上演绝杀好戏。此役过后，马竞同巴萨一样联赛为尝败绩，以净胜球劣势排名第二。

皇家社会季初状态起伏不定，他们7轮联赛过后仅积9分排在积分榜第十三位，当中3轮联赛主场保持全胜，而4轮联赛作客则全败，是西甲中典型的客场虫。虽然皇家社会本赛季联赛主场战绩彪炳，但是球队战胜的对手目前都是处于积分榜中下游地带，其主场取胜含金量略有不足。马德里竞技本赛季各条战线都保持着极佳的状态，他们上轮联赛主场以2比1险胜劲旅马拉加，球队从而近10场各项赛事取得9胜1平的佳绩，而他们在联赛中也位居次席，势头正劲。阵容方面，皇家社会本场排出了343的阵型，马竞的锋线由法尔考和阿德里安担纲。
