Biabiany moves on loan to Chievo

MILAN - After three seasons with Inter's youth academy, French striker Jonathan Ludovic Biabiany has joined Serie B side Chievo on a loan deal. The contract was registered at the Italian Football League's offices this morning.

Of Guadaloupian descent, Biabiany, born in Paris on 28 April 1988, played for Blanc Mensil before signing for the Nerazzurri. In his three years at Inter he won the 2005/06 Primavera Tim Cup and the 2006/07 Primavera Scudetto.

Biabiany made several appearances for Roberto Mancini's first team in pre-season friendly matches before his competitive debut against Empoli in a Tim Cup home match played on 17 January 2007.

MILAN - Vincenzo Esposito's Inter Primavera squad fly to Malaysia today ahead of the Champions Youth Cup, an Under-19 tournament involving some of the best youth sides in the world.

In South East Asia the Nerazzurri, who have just completed their pre-season training camp in the South Tyrol, will be up against teams from the G-14 Group as well as sides from South America and Asia.

The Champions Youth Cup will pose an important test for reigning Italian champions Inter Primavera ahead of a gruelling 2007/08 season. Esposito, however, will be without the boys currently away with Roberto Mancini's first team.

On the club's request, F.C. Internazionale has been granted permission not to allocate the number three shirt, retired following the death of the unforgettable Inter president Giacinto Facchetti.

Allievi Nazionali commence pre-season training

MILAN - After Roberto Mancini's first team and Vincenzo Esposito's Inter Primavera squad, it's the turn of the Nerazzurri's Allievi Nazionali team. Inter's Under-17s, coached by Daniele Bernazzani, begin pre-season training in Riscone di Brunico today. They will remain in the South Tyrol until 13 August, with friendlies against the Juniores teams of Merano and Trento scheduled during their stay in the mountains.

The Allievi Nazionali squad is currently composed of 21 players, with new signings to be announced in the coming days. With many of last season's Under-17s making the jump to Inter Primavera, youth academy official Piero Ausilio has worked to reinforce Bernazzani's squad with young Italian players who have already represented their country at international level, such as striker Simone Dell'Agnello and midfielders Marco Ezio Fossati and Ivan Reali.

Special Inter event on Second Life today

MILAN - On the occasion of this afternoon's launch of the new centenary shirt at the Nike Store in London, F.C. Internazionale and Nike have prepared a special event on Second Life. The avatars of Nike-sponsored Inter players Marco Materazzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Adriano and Luis Figo will pull on the new home shirt in the Nerazzurri's virtual island before entering the centenary gallery, where they will walk through a multimedia presentation of Inter's one-hundred-year history.

Inter is the first professional football club in the world to have an official island on Second Life - further confirmation of the club's leadership in new media after the success of the official website.

Second Life is a virtual community of over eight million users where residents can explore, interact with others and take part in various activities using their three-dimensional avatars. The Second Life community is considered to be one of the most advanced communications models and a benchmark for the evolution of the internet.

Inter's Second Life strategy is to create a laboratory to develop and experiment new initiatives for Nerazzurri fans in Italy and abroad. From cars and motorbikes to gifts and furniture, Inter Virtual Lab is creating prototypes of every kind. One of the first projects experimented by Inter Virtual Lab is a new bio-stadium built into a hillside, from where your avatar can walk or fly to F.C. Internazionale's Palazzo Durini headquarters. Once inside, you can admire the building's sixteenth-century frescoes, 'touch' Inter's trophies in the trophy room, and learn about the club's glorious history. This section is an appetizer for the multimedia museum being prepared by Inter Virtual Lab for the club's centenary year in 2008.

Other features of Inter's official Second Life island include an official news stand and pick-up points for virtual shirts, flags and scarves. The real things can be bought by clicking on the link to access the official F.C. Internazionale online catalogue.

The aim of Inter's presence on Second Life, an initiative thought up by Angelo Mario Moratti and developed by his digital media company Globalis, is to make the Nerazzurri's virtual island a meeting point for fans worldwide, a place where the club's global community of fans can communicate and share their support for Inter.

From 15:30CET on Monday 30 July, journalists and fans can visit Inter Official Site on Second Life and walk through the centenary gallery accompanied by the avatars of Ibrahimovic, Materazzi, Figo and Adriano.

New home shirt presented at Nike Town in London

LONDON - The presentation of Inter's new home shirt for the 2007/08 season has just taken place at Nike Town in London's Oxford Street. The unveiling was attended by president Massimo Moratti, head coach Roberto Mancini, first-team players Adriano, Luis Figo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cesar, Paolo Orlandoni, Marco Materazzi, Dejan Stankovic and Francesco Toldo, and Nike Italy general manager Matthew Cook. The new black and blue strip will be on sale at all official Nike sales points from tomorrow, Tuesday 31 July.

"This is the home shirt of the Italian champions who will celebrate their centenary in 2008, it's a wonderful and emotionally historic moment for all Nerazzurri fans and also for us at Nike, who are linked to Inter by a sincere relationship of friendship," Cook said. "We were alongside the club in difficult sporting moments, just like Inter were at Nike's side when we went through difficult times. Now we are together on a very special occasion and we can already celebrate the great success of the white and red away shirt. We share the same projects with Inter. We have the same philosophy, which is shown through a collaboration that starts from the first team and continues with the youngsters and the club's many social initiatives."

The width of the black and blue stripes on the new shirt is inspired by the jerseys of F.C. Internazionale's early years, with a retro style neck. There are many, visible references to the centenary. On the club's logo, bordered in gold, is the writing '1908-2008, cento anni Inter'. The same words are reproduced on the inside of the neck. On the outside of the neck is the Milan coat of arms, which recalls the second away shirt. Once again, the look of the shirt has been combined with technique, which for Nike is synonymous with the performance of sports clothing. The extremely light shirt has been made using Nike Sphere technology to prevent sweat buildup and reduce stickiness. The shorts are white, recalling the style of those used by the pioneer players in 1908. The socks are innovative, with horizontal black and blue bands. The goalkeepers will have grey, black and yellow shirts, with black shorts.

Massimo Moratti thanked Nike for their "kindness and the care taken in every detail". He received from Matthew Cook an Inter shirt personalised with the number 100. During the presentation at Nike Town, the contemporaneous presentation on Second Life was shown live on a screen. "It is our duty to communicate without barriers and without frontiers," added Moratti. "This is a new frontier that we face with the same enthusiasm that led us to create the official website over ten years ago. The first, as in the case of Second Life, for an Italian club."

All the Inter players called up by Roberto Mancini for the England tour have been given the afternoon off. They spent their free time at Nike Town. Where the 2007/08 season home shirt, specially designed by Nike for Inter's centenary year, was presented.

　　新款球衣的蓝色和黑色条纹的宽度受到了国际米兰足球俱乐部早年间球衣的启发，并使用了缩颈风格。球衣上由很多可见的标志与百年庆典所联系。在俱乐部的标志上，边缘为金色，上面写着“1908-2008，cento anni Inter(国际米兰百年)”。同样的字符复制于颈部内侧。在颈部外侧，是米兰的盾形纹章，这令人想起了客场球衣。球衣的外表又一次与技术相结合，对于耐克来说，这与体育服装的性能是同义词。极轻的球衣以耐克的球形工艺制成，防止汗液聚集并减少粘性。短裤为白色，令人想起了1908年先锋们穿着的风格。球袜是创新的，上有水平的蓝黑颜色。守门员将身着灰色、黑色和黄色上衣、黑色短裤。

MILAN - On Sunday 19 August, Italian champions Inter face Coppa Italia winners Roma in this year's Italian Super Cup for the second year running. The Nerazzurri are on a hat-trick of Super Cup triumphs, having beaten Juventus in Turin two years ago and Roma in Milan last season. In last year's curtain raiser 44,000 fans watched Inter produced an extraordinary fightback to defeat the Giallorossi 4-3, the first step on the road to the 15th Scudetto.

Cristian Chivu signs for Inter

MILAN - F.C. Internazionale is pleased to announce that Cristian Eugen Chivu has signed a five-year contract with the club until 30 June 2012.

The 26-year-old Romanian defender, who put pen to paper following his arrival in Milan just after 23:30 on Friday evening, joins Inter on a permanent deal with Italian defender Marco Andreolli moving to Roma on a co-ownership deal.

F.C. Internazionale and all Nerazzurri fans welcome Cristian Chivu.

MILAN - Inter has bought four new players for the academy's Giovanissimi Nazionali (Under-15) and Allievi Regionali (Under-16) teams.

Central defenders Nicola Sartori and Matteo Bianchetti join from Liventina Gorghense and Corsico, while central midfielder Giorgio Francesco Bellitta has signed from Montichiari. All three players, born in 1993, will be part of Massimo De Paoli's Under-15 team.

Central defender Andrea Morbi, born in 1992, joins Inter's Under-16 team from Aldini.

MILAN - Inter Primavera's Italian champions commence their pre-season preparations on Friday 20 July. Supervised by the coaching staff composed of head coach Vincenzo Esposito (pictured), assistant coach Marco Monti, fitness coach Stefano Rapetti and goalkeeper coach Piero Bosaglia, the Nerazzurri's Under-19 players will train at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in Appiano Gentile for three days before transferring to Brunico in the South Tyrol for a further week of training. The squad will then fly to Malaysia for the Champions Youth Cup (8-19 August).

The 2007/08 Primavera squad is currently composed of 27 players, ten of whom have been training with Roberto Mancini's first team in Brunico since last Saturday. Eight of Esposito's players were born in 1990, nine in 1989 and ten in 1988. There are 20 Italians and 7 foreigners (2 Slovenians, 1 Belgian, 1 Hungarian, 1 Swede, 1 Portuguese and 1 Montenegrin). Six of the foreign players have been at Inter for at least one season, with Montenegrin player Ivan Fatic the new arrival from ChievoVerona.

Of the 20 Italians, nine have come up through the youth ranks (Francesco Bolzoni, Paolo Branduani, Daniele Federici, Dennis Esposito, Andrea Mei, Fabio Perissinotto, Gabriele Puccio, Giorgio Schiavini and Paolo Tornaghi). Four players join the Primavera team from Inter's Allievi Nazionali side (Josè Manuel Barbosa Alvez "Coelho", Rene Krhin, Filippo Mancini and Giorgio Schiavini).

BRUNICO - Julio Cruz, Paolo Orlandoni and Francesco Toldo took time out from pre-season training on Thursday afternoon to visit the Inter Campus Village, a sports and entertainment facility set up for the duration of the first team's stay in Brunico. The three players made it a day to remember for around two hundred children, taking part in a penalty shootout before signing autographs and posing for photos.
