RUI IN AIR SCARE
3/29/2005
MILAN - Manuel Rui Costa had a tense experience on his 33th birthday today, although fortunately it ended well. Italian press agency ANSA reported that the private jet, with Manuel Rui Costa and his family on boarded, was forced into an emergency landing at Milan’s Malpensa airport after the undercarriage failed to come down. Fire services spread foam on to the runway to enable the craft to land safely. The plane carrying the Portuguese star had eight passengers aboard, six adults and three children along with three crew and was travelling from the Egypian holiday resort of Sharm el Sheik where Rui, his wife and two children had been staying.
