BASEL - "We did our duty. You could see that Basel were in better shape than us but the result is fair. Both us and them created chances, but we tried to take the match by the scruff of the neck and we managed to do that for long periods," said Juan Sebastian Veron after Inter's 1-1 draw with Basel.
"I'm pleased with how the team played and this certainly gives us confidence for the return leg. As far as I'm concerned, I know I can give a lot more. Perhaps I played a few balls too quickly, but I know what I have to work on. In any case, I feel fine physically. Let's just concentrate on the return match now."
