MILAN - Unforgettable. Unique. The 2006/07 Serie A title won by Inter already belongs to the great history of Italian football as Roberto Mancini's team have matched and set a host of new records throughout the campaign.

107 goals scored: matches club record set in 1950/51 (38 games compared to 55 this season).

97 points (out of a possible 114): an all time record in the 20-team Serie A championship, bettering Torino's tally of 94 points in 194748 (considering 3 points for a win instead of the 2 at the time); all time record for a top European league, beating Chelsea's total of 95 points in 2004/05.

NOVI SAD - The party continues. At the home of Sinisa Mihajlovic, who bids farewell to football tonight, a year after he actually stopped playing. Inter's assistant coach, one of the greatest defenders of the modern game, has gathered together friends and former team-mates for his farewell match in the city where he began his playing career.

Gate receipts from tonight's friendly game between Inter and an international XI at the Karadjordje Stadium, the home of Sinisa's first club Fk Vojvodina, will go to two charities - the Sos Children's Villages association, of which Mihajlovic is a collaborator, and the Savez Za Skolski Sport association for disabled people. The match will be broadcast by Pink TV in Serbia, and Sky Italia.

Accompanied by Bedy Moratti, F.C. Internazionale managing director Ernesto Paolillo and vice general manager Stefano Filucchi, the Inter squad arrived in Novi Sad this afternoon. Roberto Mancini and Fausto Salsano, former team-mates of Sinisa, will line up alongside Adriano, Ivan Cordoba, Lambros Choutos, Julio Ricardo Cruz, Olivier Dacourt, Luis Figo, Mariano Gonzalez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Maxwell, Marco Materazzi, Paolo Orlandoni, Walter Samuel, Santiago Solari, Dejan Stankovic, Francesco Toldo and Patrick Vieira, with fitness coaches Ivan Carminati and Claudio Gaudino on the bench ready to intervene.

MILAN - China is closer than ever before to the world of Inter. Along with the Chinese version of our official website there are numerous unofficial sites dedicated to the Nerazzurri, including www.inter1908.net run by Peng Hebing in Beijing, which counts over 22,000 registered users. Peng is the president of the newly founded Inter Club Chinese Nerazzurri, which was inaugurated today. The other members of the organising committee are Sun Yanhua (vice president), Ye Chao (secretary), Zhao Lingyun (treasurer) and Kong Lingming.

MILAN - Inter, AC Milan and Juventus will face off in the seventh edition of the pre-season Tim Trophy tournament, to take place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday 14 August. The Nerazzurri have won the three-team affair four times, while Milan have won it twice.

MILAN - For the fourth year running, Italian champions Inter will be in the mountain location of Brunico for pre-season training. This summer's two-week training camp will run from 14-25 July, after a mini training camp in Sardinia from 9-14 July.

The first Brunico training session will take place at the local sports centre on the afternoon of Saturday 14 July. As part of their preparations for the 2007/08 season, the Nerazzurri will play three friendlies during their fortnight stay in the mountains. Mancini's players face the Chinese Olympic team on Tuesday 17 July, with two other games scheduled for Saturday 21 July and Tuesday 24 July (opponents to be announced).

After the Brunico training camp, Inter will fly to England for a further week's training from Friday 27 July to Saturday 4 August. The following friendly matches have been arranged:

Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 July: Emirates Cup four-team tournament - Arsenal, Inter, Paris Saint Germain and Valencia. Inter v Valencia (Sat 28 July at 14:00GMT); Arsenal v Inter (Sun 29 July at 16:15GMT)
Wednesday 1 August: Manchester United v Inter (20:00 GMT)
Saturday 4 August: Aston Villa v Inter (15:00 GMT)

The squad will fly back to Italy directly after the Villa friendly in Birmingham.

Preparations for the 2007/08 season continue on Wednesday 8 August at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples, where the Nerazzurri will face off with newly promoted teams Napoli and Juventus in the 11th Birra Moretti Trophy.

Inter return to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday 14 August for the 7th Tim Trophy tournament against AC Milan and Juventus. Five days later on Sunday 19 August, Inter play their first competitive fixture of the new campaign. Mancini's Serie A champions face Tim Cup winners Roma in the Italian Super Cup for the second consecutive season.

The 2007/08 Serie A championship kicks off on Sunday 26 August, with several fixtures to be brought forward to Saturday due to TV scheduling. Inter then face Barcelona at the Nou Camp in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Wednesday 29 August.

David Suazo joins Inter

MILAN - David Suazo has signed for Inter. He will be unveiled to the press at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in Appiano Gentile at 11:30 on Wednesday 27 June.

The striker, born in San Pedro, Honduras on 5 November 1979, joins Inter on a permanent deal from Cagliari. He has signed a four-year contract until 30 June 2011.

The documents relating to the transfer have been registered at the Italian Football League's offices.

The news of David Suazo's transfer to Inter has been met with a terrific response. Inter fans from all over the world have sent in their welcome messages for the Honduran striker, who will be unveiled to the media in Appiano Gentile on Wednesday. One message in particular deserves a mention. Josh Carcamo, a Honduran native who lives in New Orleans, writes: 'Thanks Suazo... Now the whole world knows about Honduras because of you. Let me tell you Inter fans from around the world, now this great team has 6 million new fans from Honduras... We are so happy for Suazo... Forza Inter'.

Moratti attends IC Parlamento inauguration

ROME - Massimo Moratti took part in Thursday's inauguration of Inter Club Parlamento, named after Giacinto Facchetti. The new official supporters' club counts members of parliament, senators and government workers among its 120 founding members.

Accompanied to Italy's capital by vice general manager Stefano Filucchi late this morning, Moratti toasted the inauguration of the new Inter Club that will serve to strengthen Inter's ties with Italian political and institutional life.

Inter Club Parlamento is behind a new editorial initiative - the InterNazionale publication that contains articles about government figures' passion for the black and blue colours.

2007/08 Tim Cup final over one leg

MILAN - Next season's Coppa Italia final, to take place on 24 May 2008, a week after the conclusion of the Serie A championship, will be decided over one leg instead of two. The decision was made in today's Italian Football League meeting.

No decision regarding a venue for the final was taken, but Football League president Antonio Matarrese has communicated his wish for Italian president Giorgio Napolitano to present the trophy on the pitch.

The Italian Football League's committee authorised Matarrese to forward to the Italian FA his request for the Serie A championship to commence on 26 August, and for the Serie B to begin the following day.

Serie B officials have decided to keep the playoff and playout formula to determine promotions and relegations.

As regards the Italian Footballers' Association's desire to do away with midweek rounds and evening kick-offs during the winter months, the Italian Football League has decided that there will be no midweek rounds in the months of November, December, January and February, but that there will be Saturday and Sunday evening kick-offs in Serie A.

2007/08 Serie A championship

- Begins Sunday 26 August 2007, ends Sunday 18 May 2008.

- Four midweek rounds: 26 September 2007, 31 October 2007, 27 February 2008, 19 March 2008.

- International breaks for Euro 2008 qualifiers: no Serie A fixtures on 9 September 2007, 14 October 2007, 18 November 2007.

- 42 teams from Serie A and Serie B will take part in 2007/08 edition of Italy's cup competition. Final, to take place on Saturday 24 May 2008, will be played over one leg.

MILAN - The 2007 Italian Super Cup between Serie A champions Inter and Tim Cup winners Roma will take place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan's San Siro district on Sunday 19 August (kick-off time to be announced).

The Nerazzurri will be looking to make it a hat-trick of Super Cup triumphs after their victory over Juventus in Turin two years ago, and last season's dramatic 4-3 comeback win against Roma.

　　策划筹备半年之久的国际米兰球迷夺冠庆典，近日在北京市花园路的金沙国际养生馆成功举办。

　　本次活动得到国际米兰俱乐部、国际米兰中文官网与新浪网的官方支持，由国际米兰北京球迷协会主办，协办单位包括：国际米兰中文官网论坛、国际米兰球迷协会、国际米兰球迷阵线、国际米兰中文网、蓝黑军团等。

　　6月30日晚，球迷庆典围绕着“亲身感受冠军庆典、提前享受百年辉煌”的主题展开。庆典活动全程约为四小时，在此期间安排了现场模拟夺冠仪式、米兰德比解说大比拼、王牌对王牌等精彩环节，并且在活动过程中，为到场内拉祖里送上来自俱乐部主席莫拉蒂的祝福视频。

　　在庆典的过程中，球迷聚会的组织者卡隆与枫之百无禁忌向到场球迷与各支持单位致谢。值得一提的是，即将在上海开业的国际米兰官方专卖店的负责人员，向大家介绍了专卖店准备的相关情况。

MILAN - Inter have bought a promising young player for the club's academy, while three others join new teams ahead of the upcoming season.

Left-sided midfielder Ivan Reali, born in 1991, joins Inter on a permanent transfer from Roman club A.S. Savio. He will be part of Daniele Bernazzani's Allievi Nazionali (Under-17) team next season.

On his return from a six-month loan spell at Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, Tunisia international Tijani Belaid, born in 1987 in Paris, has been loaned out to Czech side Slavia Prague with an option to full ownership. The midfielder (pictured) has made one first-team appearance for the Nerazzurri: Inter 0-0 Reggina on 29 May 2005.

Wide midfielder Abdoulaye Diarra, born in Divi, Ivory Coast on 10 October 1986, joins Cagliari on a permanent deal after returning from a loan stint at Serbian outfit NK Maribor. In five years with Inter's academy (from 2002-2007) Diarra played for the Allievi and Primavera category teams.

Daniele Marino, born in 1988, joins Serie C2 side Gubbio on loan. The defender/midfielder spent last season on loan at local team Pro Sesto.

Midfielder Ronny Toma, norn in 1983, will remain on loan at Serie C2 team Pergocrema next season.

Goalkeeper Giacomo Bindi, born in 1987, joins Serie C1 outfit S.S. Sambenedettese Calcio on loan after returning to Inter following his loan spell at Serie C2 team A.S. Varese 1910.

Defender Nicolas Giani, born in 1986, will remain on loan at Serie C1 club Pro Patria for another season.

MILAN - On Sunday 19 August, Italian champions Inter face Coppa Italia winners Roma in this year's Italian Super Cup for the second year running. The Nerazzurri are on a hat-trick of Super Cup triumphs, having beaten Juventus in Turin two years ago and Roma in Milan last season. In last year's curtain raiser 44,000 fans watched Inter produced an extraordinary fightback to defeat the Giallorossi 4-3, the first step on the road to the 15th Scudetto.

New home shirt presented at Nike Town in London

LONDON - The presentation of Inter's new home shirt for the 2007/08 season has just taken place at Nike Town in London's Oxford Street. The unveiling was attended by president Massimo Moratti, head coach Roberto Mancini, first-team players Adriano, Luis Figo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cesar, Paolo Orlandoni, Marco Materazzi, Dejan Stankovic and Francesco Toldo, and Nike Italy general manager Matthew Cook. The new black and blue strip will be on sale at all official Nike sales points from tomorrow, Tuesday 31 July.

"This is the home shirt of the Italian champions who will celebrate their centenary in 2008, it's a wonderful and emotionally historic moment for all Nerazzurri fans and also for us at Nike, who are linked to Inter by a sincere relationship of friendship," Cook said. "We were alongside the club in difficult sporting moments, just like Inter were at Nike's side when we went through difficult times. Now we are together on a very special occasion and we can already celebrate the great success of the white and red away shirt. We share the same projects with Inter. We have the same philosophy, which is shown through a collaboration that starts from the first team and continues with the youngsters and the club's many social initiatives."

The width of the black and blue stripes on the new shirt is inspired by the jerseys of F.C. Internazionale's early years, with a retro style neck. There are many, visible references to the centenary. On the club's logo, bordered in gold, is the writing '1908-2008, cento anni Inter'. The same words are reproduced on the inside of the neck. On the outside of the neck is the Milan coat of arms, which recalls the second away shirt. Once again, the look of the shirt has been combined with technique, which for Nike is synonymous with the performance of sports clothing. The extremely light shirt has been made using Nike Sphere technology to prevent sweat buildup and reduce stickiness. The shorts are white, recalling the style of those used by the pioneer players in 1908. The socks are innovative, with horizontal black and blue bands. The goalkeepers will have grey, black and yellow shirts, with black shorts.

Massimo Moratti thanked Nike for their "kindness and the care taken in every detail". He received from Matthew Cook an Inter shirt personalised with the number 100. During the presentation at Nike Town, the contemporaneous presentation on Second Life was shown live on a screen. "It is our duty to communicate without barriers and without frontiers," added Moratti. "This is a new frontier that we face with the same enthusiasm that led us to create the official website over ten years ago. The first, as in the case of Second Life, for an Italian club."

All the Inter players called up by Roberto Mancini for the England tour have been given the afternoon off. They spent their free time at Nike Town. Where the 2007/08 season home shirt, specially designed by Nike for Inter's centenary year, was presented.

MILAN - On the occasion of this afternoon's launch of the new centenary shirt at the Nike Store in London, F.C. Internazionale and Nike have prepared a special event on Second Life. The avatars of Nike-sponsored Inter players Marco Materazzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Adriano and Luis Figo will pull on the new home shirt in the Nerazzurri's virtual island before entering the centenary gallery, where they will walk through a multimedia presentation of Inter's one-hundred-year history.

Inter is the first professional football club in the world to have an official island on Second Life - further confirmation of the club's leadership in new media after the success of the official website.

Second Life is a virtual community of over eight million users where residents can explore, interact with others and take part in various activities using their three-dimensional avatars. The Second Life community is considered to be one of the most advanced communications models and a benchmark for the evolution of the internet.

Inter's Second Life strategy is to create a laboratory to develop and experiment new initiatives for Nerazzurri fans in Italy and abroad. From cars and motorbikes to gifts and furniture, Inter Virtual Lab is creating prototypes of every kind. One of the first projects experimented by Inter Virtual Lab is a new bio-stadium built into a hillside, from where your avatar can walk or fly to F.C. Internazionale's Palazzo Durini headquarters. Once inside, you can admire the building's sixteenth-century frescoes, 'touch' Inter's trophies in the trophy room, and learn about the club's glorious history. This section is an appetizer for the multimedia museum being prepared by Inter Virtual Lab for the club's centenary year in 2008.

Other features of Inter's official Second Life island include an official news stand and pick-up points for virtual shirts, flags and scarves. The real things can be bought by clicking on the link to access the official F.C. Internazionale online catalogue.

The aim of Inter's presence on Second Life, an initiative thought up by Angelo Mario Moratti and developed by his digital media company Globalis, is to make the Nerazzurri's virtual island a meeting point for fans worldwide, a place where the club's global community of fans can communicate and share their support for Inter.

From 15:30CET on Monday 30 July, journalists and fans can visit Inter Official Site on Second Life and walk through the centenary gallery accompanied by the avatars of Ibrahimovic, Materazzi, Figo and Adriano.

Allievi Nazionali commence pre-season training

MILAN - After Roberto Mancini's first team and Vincenzo Esposito's Inter Primavera squad, it's the turn of the Nerazzurri's Allievi Nazionali team. Inter's Under-17s, coached by Daniele Bernazzani, begin pre-season training in Riscone di Brunico today. They will remain in the South Tyrol until 13 August, with friendlies against the Juniores teams of Merano and Trento scheduled during their stay in the mountains.

The Allievi Nazionali squad is currently composed of 21 players, with new signings to be announced in the coming days. With many of last season's Under-17s making the jump to Inter Primavera, youth academy official Piero Ausilio has worked to reinforce Bernazzani's squad with young Italian players who have already represented their country at international level, such as striker Simone Dell'Agnello and midfielders Marco Ezio Fossati and Ivan Reali.

MILAN - Vincenzo Esposito's Inter Primavera squad fly to Malaysia today ahead of the Champions Youth Cup, an Under-19 tournament involving some of the best youth sides in the world.

In South East Asia the Nerazzurri, who have just completed their pre-season training camp in the South Tyrol, will be up against teams from the G-14 Group as well as sides from South America and Asia.

The Champions Youth Cup will pose an important test for reigning Italian champions Inter Primavera ahead of a gruelling 2007/08 season. Esposito, however, will be without the boys currently away with Roberto Mancini's first team.

On the club's request, F.C. Internazionale has been granted permission not to allocate the number three shirt, retired following the death of the unforgettable Inter president Giacinto Facchetti.
