This is what Jaite said of Juan Martín:
Mentality: He has a good head, this is perceived inside and outside the court. He prepares the matches well, and he doesn't back off against any situation, favorable or adverse.
Serve: He still has a lot of room for improvement, he can serve much harder. He should throw the ball forward.
Forehand: Is one of his strenghts. It is solid, powerfull. He generates good acceleration and handles the angles with perfection.
Volley: He doesn't go to the net continuously, because his shots from the back are enough to win. This will change when the quality of his rivals grows.
Backhand: His best shot. He takes the ball forward and with that he makes the a lot of damage, because he forces the rivals to react fast.
Legs: Besides his size, he moves well, although he will never be very fast. Because of his height you can't ask him to be Michael Chang. |
