记者会开始之前，很多家媒体记者已经在急切的守候着，有很多疑问让艾马尔一一回答。
从对利物浦有兴趣的传言到最近对战莱万特中尝试了左中场的位置，阿根廷人一如往常
很有耐心和条理的慢慢解答大家心中的问题。
否认接受过英国媒体的采访
“亚迪(瓦伦西亚发言人) 打电话告诉我说他们一看就知道那些话不是我说的。” 艾马尔再
次声明他并没有对任何媒体说过象报导里的那些话。
左中场
“当球队采用不同战术时，我有时必须踢这个位置的。我只想要上场踢球，而我只有去适应
那个位置，并且希望能胜任它。其实这个位置和我习惯踢的位置感觉上差不多。”
莱万特比赛的个人看法
“我觉得我踢了一场不错的比赛，我对我场上的位置很满足。如果他们需要我在不同的位置
上帮忙我会很乐意的。这对我来说没有问题。”
球队风格
“我们在近一个多月以来的比赛中都控制了场面。我们必须继续维持这样的状态，让对方难
有机会进我们的球，同时我们自己也要尽量去控制比赛的节奏。”
与巴萨的距离
“各个球队的胜利与失败总是会被媒体夸大，我们只能说巴萨已经领先7分而我们还是得继
续努力的去追上他们。”
艾马尔，在瓦伦西亚很快乐
一贯的笑容，心情很轻松的把事情向媒体们说明白。从记者会的内容里，他透露出一种不
管发生什么事，好与坏，他都会象他那灿烂的笑容一样，乐观的去面对的态度。记者们对
艾马尔说，“在瓦伦西亚，球迷们崇拜着你。” “他们为你歌颂。”
艾马尔不加思索的回答 “为什么说我要走？我能在瓦伦西亚我已经很幸运了。”
是的，而我们也非常需要你。

在日前接受BBC的一次采访中，拉涅利表现出他对他麾下这支瓦伦西亚的盲目信心。意大利人夸奖了他的旧东家切尔西，甚至声称他们今年将战无不胜。他也表达了对英国球员的欣赏，但否认自己将引进任何英国人到瓦伦西亚。“我希望和这些球员一起完成一番伟业。（也就是这些如今在他号令之下大失水准的球员）”
拉涅利承认他开始时一看到切尔西都会十分心痛，不过现在已经克服了这个思乡病，很享受现在球队“美妙”的打法，并认为穆里尼奥现在执教的切尔西队还有一点他的影子 。

利物浦买了莫伦特斯，那小艾去的希望就渺茫了。没有配得上的下家，只能将就着先上场，明年联合会杯一定要参加，希望表现好被别人买走。
老贝在拼命地西班牙化，拉捏利却拼命地意大利化，简直是人头猪脑，无非就是想把前任教练留下来的东西全部推倒重来，以彰显他的高明罢了。

埃马尔辟谣说不走[from skysports]
Pablo Aimar has denied that he wants to leave Valencia after rumours again surfaced that he could become a transfer window target for Liverpool.
The Argentinian midfielder reacted to reports that his agent, Gustavo Mascardi, is due to travel to Spain, suggesting that a move away from the Mestalla may be on the cards.
"Mascardi has said for two years that he will come here and I am still waiting," Aimar said.
"He must be coming to deal with another player because he is not coming to see me about anything."
Aimar was reminded about a story during the Christmas break that had alleged quotes from him claiming that he wanted to move to Liverpool.
"The club called me in Argentina, when I was there on holiday, to confirm that I had not spoken to the press," he said.
"I denied it completely and that was that."
Aimar has struggled to hold down a regular place in Claudio Ranieri's side this season and has completed only four games.
But he was back at his best to his best in Valencia's last two games and could be set for a run in the side.
In the 2-1 win against Levante last weekend he filled the left midfield role and looked comfortable standing in for the injured Vicente.
"I thought I played well against Levante and was satisfied with how everything went," he said.
"I am happy to play anywhere the coach asks me, although I would not fancy going in goal."

The recent article by John Rowlands on Pablo Aimar – ‘The Aimar Mystery’ – prompted this response from Goal.com and Valencia fan James Pavlick:
I agree with 95% of this analysis as it relates to Pablo. This particular gentleman, Mr. Rowlands, has written analyses of VCF that have generally been spot on. However, I believe he fails to further develop this article into as strong an indictment of Ranieri
as he could. Please note this quote from the article:
"…The other reason is tactical. Ranieri loves 4-4-2 - which he favoured with Chelsea and in his first spell at Valencia - it’s obvious that this is the way he likes to play…"
I fully agree that a 4-4-2 is not the best system for Pablo. He is at his best in a 4-2-3-1, a 4-3-1-2, or a 4-4-1-1. However, a good manager develops tactics to maximise the abilities of his players. A poor manager rigidly demands that the players adapt their talents and abilities to suit his tactics.
There is no one best tactical scheme. Each team needs to employ tactics that best suit its players. I think a 4-4-2 is perfect for a squad like Arsenal, but it is not best for Valencia. Where are Valencia’s strengths and weaknesses? They have terrific central
midfielders, but do not have great depth up front. Would not a system that maximises our advantages and minimises our weaknesses be the best for Valencia?
Not according to Claudio. He insists that his players adapt their games (even to the point to playing out of position) to suit his tactical preferences. If this is not the hallmark of a poor manager, I do not know what it is. Perhaps a 4-4-2 was best for Chelsea last season. Valencia has different players -- doesn’t it stand to reckon that they should have different tactics. In my opinion, Pablo is the best player on the squad. The tactics should be designed with this in mind. They should play a 4-2-3-1 (Albelda and Baraja as deep lying central midfielders) with Pablo as the main creator. You don’t ask your best player to change his game to suit your tactical preferences. A good manager changes his tactics to maximise the talents and abilities of his players. Unfortunately, Los Ches do not have a good manager.

It seems Pablo Aimar’s current predicament on the fringe of the Valencia first team has caused a stir amongst Liga followers – and rightly so.
Few would argue that, in fact, he is the most talented and downright best player on Valencia’s books. That said, the crown of Los Ches’ most effective attacking player in the last couple of seasons would have to fall at the feet of local prodigy Vicente. Put this factor down to whatever you want - injuries, form, tactics etc. He has been inspirational and irresistible and, even though they are very different players (in terms of skills and position) Vicente has been so good that Valencia did not miss the mercurial Aimar as much as you would expect.
Pablo’s overall ability must be lauded, he is one of my personal favourites, but the above paragraph hints at why he no longer seems to be considered integral to his club’s plans. It is more misfortune than anything else. But Claudio Ranieri a poor coach? I don’t think so. I believe he was an extremely suitable candidate for the post when appointed in the summer – there was no question that he had some unfinished business at the club, and was rightly given the financial clout to match his obvious desire to succeed, especially after the disrespectful, undermining way that Ambramovich’s Chelsea treated him. After a praiseworthy baptism at the helm of a frequently dazzling Fiorentina side in the nineties, he set the foundations for where Los Ches are today with the exciting side he bossed at the end of the decade, before Hector Cuper took over and moved the club along.
In truth, the key factor is that Aimar was unavailable when the new coach came into the post. This can be one of the worst things that can happen to any player. Everybody knows that when a new coach is appointed, everybody receives a clean slate – the downside is that if you are sidelined with injury you run the risk of falling behind and out of the picture. The signing of two international strikers, Di Vaio and Corradi, to compliment last season’s Ches top scorer, Mista, was always going to mean the squad lent towards playing a front two – if not, how are you supposed to keep the latter trio content by rotating them around one striking position? I was very surprised at the signings, and after Mista remained, it instantly made me think of Aimar’s prominence, or lack of it, within the squad and Ranieri’s mind. For all we know, it was the Tinkerman’s full intention to use Aimar in a playmaking role, but his poor fitness led to a change of approach. Now that he is available again, Ranieri is unwilling to change a formula that has now slowly started to become a winning one again, after a fantastic start turned to a disappointing slump.
Yes, it is perhaps a tactical oversight on the Italian tactician’s part to have somewhat dispensed with the Aimar option - I prefer and am more impressed with a set-up of Vicente and Aimar playing in a line of three with Angulo/Rufete, supporting one striker, but I am not the coach. Take the Argentine out of the equation and Valencia ‘s squad is set up perfectly to play a 4-4-2, Aimar is the only one who really gives Ranieri that choice, a choice he doesn’t seem to want to take. Why should we necessarily expect ‘What formation is best for Pablo’ to be at the forefront of Ranieri’s thinking? There are 25 other players to consider too.
In football, continuity and repeated success are simply rarities. All sorts of factors change the fortunes of players and clubs, and factors that don’t always involve things that happen on the field of play. Things invariably change.
At this point, perhaps the above mixture of reasons means Aimar’s time at Valencia has run its course. It may be time to think of moving on – hopefully to a club and a coach that truly recognise his sublime talent, preferably staying in Spain or moving to Serie A – I have my doubts over the playmaker plying his trade in the overly aerial, robust and frenetic play of the Premiership.
The fact remains that, to reach his full potential as one of the greats, the little magician must stay injury free. That’s one thing, sadly, that you cannot learn, no matter how hard you train or how much ability you possess, but it is simply essential. Here’s hoping.
